Home Search Topics Contact About | Stability In Your LifeIsaiah 33:6a: And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, . . . Do you have a secure job? A secure marriage? A safe home? Enough money? People you can depend upon? What do you depend on? Who do you depend on? Is stability what you need in your life? Is stability what you want? There is no better source of stability than God. There is no other source of the highest stability. There is no superior stability than Christians can have in the Lord. By comparison any other stability is like quicksand. God says His wisdom and knowledge will be your stability. I have heard very accurate descriptions of those things that go like this: Knowledge is information and wisdom is knowing how and when to use the information. True wisdom does not exist without knowledge and true knowledge does not exist without wisdom. Do you ever make a mistake and then think I knew better than that? Join the club. You didn*t use your wisdom. Do you ever make a mistake because you didn*t have enough information? Wisdom waits for information. Wisdom is not impatient. Proverbs 18:13: He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him. Wisdom is never evil. Wisdom is never violent. Wisdom is responsive to others. Wisdom is merciful. Wisdom is fruitful. Wisdom is impartial. Wisdom is always obeying God. Wisdom is unattractive to fools. The highest wisdom is to know God. The lowest foolishness is not knowing Him. Wisdom is never proud. Wisdom is available for the asking. Stability is available for the asking. James 3:17: But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. Psalms 111:10: The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. Proverbs 1:7: The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 9:10: The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. Proverbs 15:33: The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility. James 1:5: If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. Psalms 18:2: The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. Matthew 24:29: Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: I may be shaking on the rock but my Rock will never shake. It*s not too late for you to get on my Rock. There is hope for even the double minded: James 4:8: Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. 1 Corinthians 3:11: For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
